Black Rock Shooter Creator to Release First Artbook

Black Rock Shooter's creator, Huke will be releasing his first artbook. It will be titled BLK on January  2012. The BLK artwork will include work by Huke from Black Rock Shooter and Steins;Gate. It will be 240 pages for the artbook. A limited edition one will also cover a limited edition figma of Black Rock Shooter Beast. Pricing will be 3200 yen for the normal artwork and 6800 for the limited edition.

Meanwhile, here in NSW Australia, we year 12s are dying from exams and I'm absolutely CRAVING a Niizuma Eiji figure (Bakuman). The 2nd season is coming out soon, the manga is seriously heating up (We at AUA haven't posted about it recently) and Eiji is seriously heating stuff up at JUMP!

Other than that, a lot of animes are wrapping up at 11-12 episodes, so we're getting a bit lonely now :( Unfortunately, the boys here wouldn't let me (the only girl) post about yaoi series Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi which was my favourite from this season :( And sadly it has finished :(

But the next season is coming out soon, although pretty much everyone is agreeing that it doesn't look spectacular.

LIMITED!! Azusa Figure!!

Azusa's fans listen!! This is indeed the best of the best Azu-nyan figure out there right now and also definitely the most appealing figure too! The Figure from Kyoto Animation will be released in somewhere September in 2011. To make this even better, this is a limited edition, so it can be cleared out any moment. So if you are desperately craving for it, I suggest you to pre-order it from websites soon before it'll be too late.Though, it is a bit pricey but since it's limited/extremely well made, everything is worth it.

Black Rock Shooter ~ Anime Ver 1/6 Scale

Ben has recently received his BRS figure by Good Smile from Hobby Fan (www.hobbyfan.com) and has asked me to help him review it. Well seeing how lazy he is, the post is going to be just another paragraph if he is reviewing it (lol). So~ The very kind me has agreed to help him :)

As you can see, this BRS is extremely dedicate and it looks like it is going to break any moment. For figures to have such a difficult pose is really hard, because of the weight and balancing factors. Since the body is on one leg while leaning forward, it made the design even more problematic. A smart solution was to make the bosy hold on to the cannon; with the cannon attached to both the figure and the blocks on the base.The pose made it looks like she is in action. It is why this figure looks so beautiful and cool!

The colours are perfect in the figure. It could clearly show the gloss and matt paints apart, making the body and the cannon both stand out at the same time. Ben thought the colours are bad yet without realizing that is the purpose of the design. The dull colours allow the atmosphere to be created around the figure, creating moods of danger and unease. Well if the colour did make him think it is bad, then it did a good job of creating an unpleasant atmosphere. I personally liked it.

Overall, I really liked the pose of the figure and think it is cool. Good Smile nailed this design very well. This figure is definitely worth its price. So consider this if you are buying a BRS figure!

PS. I also bought a figure along with Ben's BRS from Hobby Fan, so I'll be reviewing it soon when it comes to my house.  Get ready to see Hitagi Sengougahara 1/6 Scale by Good Smile! :)

Bakuman trading figures

That's right! Bakuman merch is starting to come out! These kawaii trading figures from Good Smile Co. are 500 yen each (depending on the rates when they are released, this is about $6 AUD)
They're being released in May this year, and for everyone in Sydney, we all know what this means! Of course, I'm talking about Supanova, which will be in June (I believe) and so hopefully, this year there will be a bunch of cool new Bakuman merch, as well as other merchandise from other recent animes!
Don't forget there are also nendroids being released:

These are 3,800 yen each, which, off the top of my head is roughly $40 AUD.
Everyone, get excited, because the year has just started, which means not long to wait for all the Sydney (and rest of Australia) anime events to occur!

Extreme Blast Mode Destiny Gundam MG [1:100]

Well Well Well, I finally finished my awesome gundam model which I have built since the beginning of this year. It took a very long time with precise caution. One wrong move and bye bye model. Nah, I was just lazy and kept postponing it. Really wasn't in the mood to build it. It was this term's holiday that I sudden received high motivation on doing it and I did and now I felt extremely proud of it. =]

Even though I finished the model, doesn't mean it is over yet. I'm going to airbrush this model to make it even more stunning since the cutting and the paint doesn't really look as go compared to the finished version of this model. I can't wait to air brush this! ><
