The second season is currently airing. The first season ran 25 episodes from October 2010 to April of this year. Meanwhile the original manga has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2008.

Ao no Exorcist Movie Announced

According to the latest issue of Jump Square magazine, TV Anime series Ao no Exorcist (青の祓魔師, Blue Exorcist) was green-lit for movie production. So far, no other information was released. The series was aired this April and has a total of 25 episodes. It’s one of my favorite series, despite the fact that the Anime route is driven away from the original Manga by Kazue Kato (加藤 和恵).

Right now, the series is going to have a movie. Apart from the truth that we don’t have any idea about the story of the movie at this point, it gives people a feeling, a feeling that we have sensed before, and if I recall it right, is similar to a series with a super short elder brother and an iron younger brother, and we call i tFullmetal Alchemist (鋼の錬金術師). It’s ture. Fullmetal series has two separate lines, one with a brand new story, the other follows the original Manga, and they both have a movie version. Similar thing can happen to Ao no Exorcist too. But Ao no Exorcist is a bit different. The Manga content is probably enough for another 25 episode, but if you want to make it an Anime, it turns out that the climax will probably be knowing that Rin is the son of Santon. Well, it’s just some assumption, what I mean is the Manga version cannot be made into a 25-episode Anime, however, it will be cool if you made it a 2-hour movie, or a 64-episode new Anime. The former will be my guess for the movie, while the latter could have the some possibility.
More news is yet to come! But I really do hope that the movie gives the series justice! ><

AKB48's Anime Conquer in Spring!

The Nikkan Sports newspaper is reporting on Tuesday that the idol group AKB48 is getting its first anime, which will air next spring. The broadcasting station and title of the project, which will have an all-original story, are still secret. Shoji Kawamori, the co-creator of theMacross franchise and the co-director of Macross: Do You Remember Love?, is the project planner and the chief director, and Toshimichi Ootsuki (Evangelion: 1.0 You Are [Not] Alone) is the executive producer. As the newspaper puts it, AKB48 producer Yasushi Akimoto is "of course" planning and supervising the project.
The anime will center around nine idol candidates who aspire to be "legendary idols," in the motif of AKB48's real-life sōsenkyō (general election) Top 8.
Mari Okada (AnoHana, Hanairo, Toradora!) is supervising and writing the scripts, and Mikan Ehime (Macross Frontier, Gravion Zwei) is designing the characters. Yoshimasa Hiraike (Working!!/Wagnaria!!, Amagami SS, Sketchbook ~full color'S~) is the actual hands-on director of the anime at Satelight (Macross Frontier, Aquarion, Shugo Chara!).
The idol group members will "battle" each other in auditions to be voice actresses in this project, and the newspaper reports that the members' standings in "sōsenkyō" (general elections) popularity contests will not be a factor. Out of 200 candidates from AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, and its other spinoffs, 30 will be selected and announced on a dedicated website in November. In the final round of auditions held in Tokyo, nine will be chosen to perform the theme song

Takumii's Top 5 Comedy Must Watch List

I have to proclaim that these are the funniest anime titles according to myself. They are the funniest unpopular animes. Many popular titles such as Lucky Star and Gintama etc. are not added to my list because who doesn't know they are funny? There is no point to add them if everybody knows them. So this is the unpopular comedy  anime list to Takumii.
1. Seto no Hanayome
2. Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu
3. Lovely Complex
4. Inukami
5. Nyan Koi

To those who are in school holiday, give these animes a try. They are good for a reason!

K-ON!! THE MOVIE!!

The official website of the K-ON! anime franchise began streaming the full trailer for the upcoming film on Monday. The trailer originally debuted in Japanese theaters on Saturday. The film will open in over 130 theaters in Japan on December 3.

Yuruyuri's Sakurako & Himawari's Marriage Registration Offered?

As a joke, Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime magazine editor-in-chief Naritarō Nakamura posted on his Twitter account on Sunday that the magazine's November issue would bundle a filled-out marriage registration form for the characters Sakurako and Himawari from Namori's Yuruyurimanga. Sakurako and Himawari are a popular yuri couple from this manga, which follows several fun-loving schoolgirls who take over the former room of a tea ceremony club for their own "Gorakubu" (amusement club).
Nakamura later wrote that he was considering whether the magazine really should bundle the form. He then posted that if his Twitter account received more than 2,000 followers, that the magazine would include the "proper government form."
Nakamura's Twitter account now has over 2,400 followers.
Nakamura confirmed on Sunday that the November issue of Comic Yuri Hime would bundle Sakurako and Himawari's marriage registration form. Nakamura cautioned that Sakurako is not so smart, so she probably "filled" out the form improperly. As a result, the editor noted (tongue-in-cheek) that the government would probably reject the form.
The November issue will go on sale on September 17.
Comic Yuri Hime has been publishing Yuruyuri since Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime S magazine ended publication in 2010. Ichijinshareleased the seventh volume of the manga in Japan on July 28.
An anime adaptation of Yuruyuri began airing in Japan in July, and Crunchyroll is currently simulcasting the anime outside of Japan.

My first reaction was.... "They are too young to be a yuri couple!!" Then I remembered that anything is possible in Japan... I bet all those fans died a little inside when this actually didn't happen. What a trolling prank~

Lelouch-Less Geass Apparently Not Getting TV Series?

The Japanese Amazon site is listing a November 2011 release date for a DVD release of Code Geass Gaiden: Bôouoku no Akito, indicating that the third anime in the mecha war/political/drama franchise will be released as a direct to video OVA series.

The Code Geass Gaiden Bōkoku no Akito project is set in Europe where a Knightmare Unit of Zone Eleven boys and girls must rescue allies left behind on the battlefield.

This new project will not feature the series' protagonist, Lelouch, but will take place in the same world.
