Sorry for the extra large-ness, however, I found a lot of significance in these two pages from Bakuman 97!
First off, Ohba Tsugumi has not lost their writing touch since the massive cult hit Death Note! look at the storyline for Bakuman, it's so simple, yet so good! and I noticed many similarities between Death Note and Bakuman in this chapter kekeke~ eg: having people watch Akechi to prove he's innocent, then the crimes stop, he's under further suspicion but that's all part of his master plan. This totally did not happen in Death Note at all eh. BUT THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT EPIC!
So that's the page pictured at the top. The second page, I put up purely for the art. It's genius. It really is.The layout, and structure and all that technical crap that makes it subliminally appealing. And that would be the work of Obata Takeshi Sensei~
This is why I like Bakuman so much :)
note: yep I read Death Note, watched the anime, and own all three movies. However, every time I got up to the part where L dies I was like >:( and really disliked the Mello/Near arc and kept quitting it. I just disliked Mello too much and L wasn't there to say "keep reading" so yeh. But I know what happens, and I only quit like 10 chapters of the manga, which, when you think about it, isn't that much. on the other hand, since it's not much I should have just read it, right?
