Hatsune Miku's first Arcade Debut

Hatsune Miku Project Diva will be released in arcade for the first time in the upcoming J-Pop Summit in San-Francisco. Sega approached this project by tackling the the genre people wanted for arcade game and they have decided to bring this game out to please their supporters and Vocaloid fans.

The machines will be placed on the Arcade Cabinet, featuring Vocaloids. It will be 1$ per play but everything else is free. Sega have announced, this is the first time they brought something to America first, rather than the Asian regions such as Japan or Hong Kong etc.

Sega stated:
“Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Arcade” is the first-ever CGM (Consumer Generated Media) arcade game and features a dazzling digital world created by the players themselves. “Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Arcade” is a rhythm game featuring Hatsune Miku and other Vocaloid virtual pop stars singing popular songs from SEGA’s “Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-“ game for the Sony PSP, and from the Niko Niko Douga web site.

Sega have made this choice knowing the fact that Hatsune Miku fandom is growing rapidly in America. So surely, this will create more popularity in the near future.
