Blue Exorcist, Live-Action Moshidora Promos Streamed

The official website of A-1 Pictures' Blue Exorcist (Ao no Exorcist) television anime series began streaming the anime's third television commercial on Sunday. The anime adapts Kazue Katō's Blue Exorcist manga about Rin Okumura (Nobuhiko Okamoto), a boy raised by a famous exorcist named Father Fujimoto (Keiji Fujiwara). Rin discovers he is the son of Satan, and he joins the True Cross Academy to become an exorcist. Tensai Okamura (Darker than BLACK, Wolf's Rain, Kikaider) is directing off scripts supervised by Ryota Yamaguchi (Cutey Honey Flash, Digimon: Data Squad, Sailor Moon Sailor Stars). The anime will premiere this April.

The official website for the live-action film adaptation of Natsumi Iwasaki's Moshi Kōkō Yakyū no Joshi Manager ga Drucker no Management o Yondara (Moshidora) business novel began streaming a teaser trailer on Friday. In the original novel, whose title can be translated as What If a Female Manager of a High School Baseball Team Read Drucker's "Management"?, a high school girl named Minami Kawashima (AKB48 idol group member Atsuko Maeda) becomes the baseball team manager at Tokyo's Hodokubo High School. Minami accidentally buys Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices — a classic productivity guide by the Austrian-American management guru Peter Drucker — and uses it to rally her dispirited team.

The film will open in June. The Japanese public broadcaster NHK will also premiere a Moshidora television anime series from director Takayuki Hamana (The Prince of Tennis, The Beast Player Erin, Library War) and the anime studio Production I.G in March. A manga adaptation launched in Shueisha's Super Jump magazine on December 22. The novel has over 1.81 million copies in print since its debut in December of 2009, and it was last year's bestselling book in Japan.
