Summer Wars has won the Audience Award for Best Animation Feature during the Anaheim International Film Festival (AIFF) in California. Other competitors included The Ugly Duckling from Russia and Mars from the states. American distributors plan to release the film in theaters late 2010 and begin to distribute the film on DVD and Blu-ray in 2011.
