A full movie for Strike Witches has been announced instead of a third series which was to be expected. Details have not yet been released in full but a 2011 release will most possibly be the case as it could play as a direct continuation from the ending of the second series. The announcement was made through a live Nico live stream and more details will be released in the 13th volume of Nyan Type magazine.
