Bungaku Shoujo - film

I just finished watching the film adaptation of Mizuki Nomura's Bungaku Shoujo (Literature Girl)

It's also in manga form and can be found on Mangafox. Check the links on the side bar for the website.

Plot~
Touko is the Literature club girl, 2nd year high school student. She literally eats books. When 1st year Inoue sees her doing this, she forces him to join the Literature Club to keep it secret. There, he writes stories for her daily and she eats them as snacks. But there's a little more the Inoue's writing, and things become complicated when through chance, Inoue meets once again with childhood friend Miu.

Want some screen shots of Miu and Inoue's class mate Kotobuki? I think you do. Kotobuki likes Inoue, and Miu is in hospital after throwing herself in front of a turck, but the following scene still manages to happen. It's much better in action rather than screen shots, but I died of laughter during this, so I must share.

SUCH AN EPIC SCENE! It was totally unexpected too. Thus, I watched that scene like 3 times in a row. :D It was also in a hospital LOL

Onto the full summary: (below picture is Inoue on the top right, Miu top left, Touko Senpai middle)
When Kotobuki (Inoue's class mate, and also the girl with brown hair in the screen shots above) falls down the stairs (or some similar accident, it's not really important) she ends up in hospital. It happens just after She and Inoue go on a "date" for the first shrine visit of the year after New Years. Once finding out, he rushes to the hospital, and finds her fighting with Miu (not the scene above though, they fight a lot haha) Inoue takes Miu's side, and we later find out they were childhood friends.
Miu is in the hospital because she jumped off the Middle School building, in a suicide attempt. Everything is all linked to Inoue's secret that he is actually a published and famous novelist, under the pen name Inoue Miu. His novel was turned into a film, when Miu jumped off the roof.
After meeting once again in the hospital, Miu suggests they go back to how they were before, best friends, like each other, etc.
Inoue learns his friends have all been keeping her return to the town secret from him. They are truthful in saying its better that they don't meet, but Miu has already told Inoue that they will try to separate them and not to believe anyone but her.
During all this, Touko Senpai is quietly supporting Inoue during their club activities. She's also studying to take university exams, as it's now near the end of her third year of High school.
A lot of stuff happens, and Touko Senpai sticks by Inoue, even receiving phone calls to stay away from him as Miu becomes a bit psychotic.
Very confused as to what to do, Inoue, while walking, receives a phone call saying that Miu has gone missing from the hospital. He runs to the Middle school, knowing that she will most likely be there. He finds her on the roof, once again. This time, however, she tells him why she jumped last time, as the only way to stop Inoue from forgetting her. Reminiscing, it explains that the two became childhood friends because Miu was good at telling stories, and Inoue loved to listen to them. During Middle school, Miu ran out of stories. Seeing Inoue as a her dog, following her obediently as long as she had stories, she figured the only way to stop Inoue from forgetting her was to jump off a building.
I'm sure you get what I mean by she's a bit psychotic.
Inoue is still somewhat in love with her, and she convinces him to jump off the building with her. As they're about to jump, Touko Senpai runs onto the roof, after being warned that the two were missing.
Inoue goes to turn back now that Senpai is there, but Miu jumps anyway. Because they stupidly tied each other together, Inoue is able to pull her back, apologize and return to Touko.
The two hold Miu and take her back to the hospital. As they're waiting for the ambulance to come pick up Miu, Miu jumps in front of a truck.
At this point I was all :D :D SHE FINALLY DIED! but no, she survived. Wheelchair bound, lost her memories, cannot use her hands or feet, and thinks she's in grade school, Inoue leaves school to look after her 24/7
AND THEN THE EPIC FIGHT SCENE ABOVE HAPPENS. Kotobuki (who is still hospitalized from her fall) drenches Miu in water, and slaps her. Repeatedly. Miu gets up from her wheel chair, grabs Kotobuki and slaps back. And you can see above the rest of the scene. This of course uncovers that Miu was pretending the wheelchair bound thing, and I was preeeeety darn happy at this point.
Miu explains again why she became the way she did. (pretty sick of her crap at this point) and Inoue still sticks by her, even though she says she hates him and everything she's said to him is a lie etc etc.
Back in Middle school, Miu wanted to be a writer, but because she ran out of stories, she began to plagiarize the works of Kenji Miyazawa (?). Inoue and Miu entered a competition from writing, and Inoue won (with the pen name thing mentioned before)
Touko sets up a gathering, where the go to a observatory simulator type thing, and shows them the sky that supposedly inspired the writer Kenji Miyazawa, who Miu was plagiarizing.
this helps everyone reconcile with each other and Miu opens up a bit about the way she felt about Inoue's novel, consequently about how much he loved her. She felt it was an inaccurate depiction of her, but that she accepted that that was the way Inoue saw her.
Inoue discovers Touko Senpai had long gone left before everyone, and he chases after her. Kotobuki stops him, says he doesn't need to write, and he rejects her indirect confession.
Inoue finds Touko at the train station, asking why she left. Touko explains that she was accepted into Hokkaido uni, and she can no longer eat Inoue's delicious stories as snacks anymore. Inoue refuses, saying he'll write to her and send her stories to eat everyday. At this point the whole eating books thing is kind of normal now and you don't really think it's weird, which is weird in itself.

They get on the train together, and chat, about how they had fun together during their high school years, but that Touko has grown up, and is now leaving High School. Touko leaves Inoue on a station platform, returning his scarf he lent to her. As she gets back on the train, he pulls her back and kisses her. Awwww. In yo face Miu.
They depart ways. Credits roll. End of credits comes. Mwahahaha. Inoue is grown up, working on his computer. His second novel was released, much to the public's anticipation. It's entitled "Bungaku Shoujo". His little sister comes into his room, and says she wants to know is she will like Inoue Miu, unaware it's her brother. Doorbell rings and the little sister is like "oh she's here!"
We're left with an image of womanly legs, wondering IS IT MIU OR TOUKO? GOSH WHO IS IT.
Voice over says "why did I start writing again? It's because of what I found under the xxx tree"
Not exact words, and I can't remember what type of tree it was, but it refers to the tree where he met Touko Senpai for the first time, eating books.
This took me so long to write and remember what happened in the movie LOL. I watched it on Sky7anime.net, for anyone who wants to know, and the movie was released May 1 2010.  Sorry this is so long :S
