Brisbane Supanova hosted this year's first round of the Madman National Cosplay Championship and results have been posted on Madman Entertainment's website. A recording of the event has been made available on ustream.
Melanie, the first place finalist cosplaying a character from the video game Psychic Force 2012, will proceed to the championship finals, also to be held in Brisbane in November. Supanova had recently announced that the one-day event slated for the championship's finals will be expanded to a full three-day convention.
Other series featured in this round were .hack, Tactics (TV), Black Rock Shooter, Digimon Frontier and Star Driver Kagayaki no Takuto.
The next round of the Madman National Cosplay Championship will take place at Supanova Melbourne this Saturday, April 9th.
