Moe Elections

It seems that elections are not spared in Moe Marketing. Fukushima Prefecture has been seen sporting anime posters to encourage inhabitants to vote in the upcoming elections for their prefectural governor.

The character in the poster known as Mirai Fukushima (Mirai always reminds me of DannyChoo) is shouting out "Let's decide the future of Fukushima together!" while the text to her left reads "Lets go to the ballots" . Right down the bottom in small font is attempt to dissuade people from just staying home and not voting for their governor.

Japan continues to amaze me. The amount of marketing that involves anime characters or some form of anime to boost sales is overwhelming. If it has gotten this far I guess soon we'll be seeing this type of marketing around the world.
